November_December

November and December have been
two wonderful months of hunting and
festivities for River Hills.

November started the second day into our Regular
Hunting Season. So, far this season we have been
out a total of 56 times!

The week of Thanksgiving we scheduled 5 Hunts;
Mon- Wed-Thursday-Friday-Saturday, and only
missing one due to bad weather.

Friday after Thanksgiving had to be one of our most
exciting hunts because we coupled it with our
Huntsman for the Day (Savannah Hatfield) and
our Children's Hunt.

Also this December we annonced in our Holiday
Letter that we are now a registered pack with the
Masters of Foxhounds Association (www.mfha.
org) and you can now find the River Hills Foxhounds
on the MFHA hunt list and a link to our web site.

This registration has been ten years in the making
and with our registration we are now able to apply to
be recognized! To those who may not understand
what this mean to us, it is a good idea to take a look
at the MFHA web site and understand the hard work
and dedication that the MFHA does to promote,
educate, and defend our hunting rights. To River
Hills it is a great privilege to have the MFHA in our
corner, and with their support we can all go forth
together and promote our precious sport of fox
hunting. (With the MFHA’s registration of the River Hills
Foxhounds we ask that ALL River Hills subscribers join or re-new
their personal MFHA membership. A single MFHA membership is
$35.00, you will receive four issues of the Coverside magazine,
regular mailing of information that keeps you updated on current
events, animal rights and conservation issues, as well as
invitations to the Biennial Staff Seminar, performance trails, field
hunter championships, joint meets, the MFHA Ball, and a MFHA
bumper sticker. )
